Senior Bursar’s Assistant - 9 month fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)

The Role

Â鶹ŮÀÉ is looking to appoint an outstanding individual as Assistant to the Senior Bursar. The role currently provides high level administrative support to assist the Senior Bursar in fulfilling their varied direct responsibilities including finances and investments, legal, records and HR compliance, as well as indirect responsibility through the Domestic Bursar, for the operational function of the College. 

The role is a 9-month fixed term position covering a period of maternity leave based within the Bursary team which works collaboratively, on behalf of the Senior Bursar, with major stakeholders across all College departments and the wide Collegiate University. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of data protection requirements, competence with technology, and discretion. The role involves diary, correspondence, and document management support to various committees, as well as a range of other tasks involving different parts of the College, its community of Fellows (academic staff), students and operations staff and parts of the University. The role is very varied, requires initiative and discretion and brings contact with a wide variety of people both within and outside the College.

This is ideally a full-time position with a competitive FTE salary range of £40,753, dependent on knowledge and skills. We will consider applicants interested in reduced or compressed hours (e.g. 0.8 FTE or 4 days per week). Flexibility regarding hours is available during university vacations, and part-remote working may be accommodated.
