With a focus on raising funds for student support, alumni of Â鶹ŮÀÉ joined together to give more than £400,000 during the 2024 Telephone Campaign.

Between Wednesday 18 and Sunday 29 September, our fantastic team of student callers spoke to nearly 500 Caius alumni about the vital importance of increased student support in the current climate. Close to half of those they spoke to generously chose to make a donation to the College.

The funds raised will be used to support students during their time at Caius, through providing student bursaries, postgraduate support and various grants, assisting with the increasing cost of living and strengthening our mental health and wellbeing programmes. Every donation, regardless of size, adds up to significantly enhance the wellbeing and experience of the current Caian student body.

The callers found their time in the call room highly rewarding and are grateful to all those who gave up their time to answer the phone. They particularly valued the opportunity to converse with alumni from diverse backgrounds and eras. Your willingness to pick up the phone, offer cordial discussions, share nostalgic stories and form new connections made a world of difference to our students. We would also like to thank the kind alumni who volunteered to help with training the students ahead of the campaign; it really helped the callers’ confidence to be cheered on right from the start!

A tweet from Ruth Winden, reading: "@CaiusCollege: your student volunteer team, connecting with alumni and raising funds, is wonderful. Every year I have such good conversations. Today was extra special - big shout out to Madeleine! Receiving her personal video message to thank me was a lovely surprise"

A touching tweet from one of our alumni which had our callers applauding Maddie and each other.
